Civil Rights leader, Jesse Jackson and his wife, Jacqueline, have tested positive for COVID-19. The two are currently in the hospital. Jackson is not only a Civil Rights leader, he is a cultural trail blazer.
In 1984, Jesse Jackson sought the Democratic Party nomination for President of the United States. Four years later, he showed a Black man could be elected as president. During the 1988 Democratic primaries, Jackson finished in second place.
Jesse Jackson is now an elder statesman, often doling out advice, or recounting his iconic life. Together, he and his wife recently did an interview. Now, Jesse and his wife, Jacqueline, are in a Chicago hospital, after testing positive for COVID-19.
