Jim Jones was involved in a chaotic altercation at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, footage shows. The artist is maintaining he was simply defending himself, but the situation is still developing.
Newly obtained video by TMZ captures the intense moment when Jim Jones was seen taking on two men at once in a wild fight at the airport. The brawl erupted as the three individuals were reaching the bottom of an escalator, with no clear provocation.
The footage shows Jim throwing punches at the two men, but it appears that one of them may have been injured, as they can be seen writhing in pain on the floor. A woman can be seen rushing to turn off the escalator, but the altercation continues despite protests from others nearby.
The situation eventually gets resolved when a pair of officers arrive and break up the fight. Jim can be seen letting go of the man he was holding, who appears to be bleeding heavily. The rapper can be heard protesting, “It was two of them against me!”
One of the other individuals involved in the altercation is seen trying to pull away from a sheriff’s deputy, but more officers arrive on the scene and manage to restrain him.
When reached for comment, Jim told TMZ Hip Hop, “I was minding my business and defended myself. They got what they were looking for.”
It’s unclear if anyone was arrested or if any charges have been filed.
