Throughout Jimmy Butler’s career, he has been considered by many to be overrated. He only rose to lead the Bulls, after Derrick Rose’s injuries, and never got past the second round. However, his work to make the Minnesota Timberwolves relevant was other-worldly.
When he went to the Philadelphia 76ers, Jimmy Butler definitely helped the team improve, but they still lost in the second round. Finally, Butler found his home with the Miami Heat. Though they were expected to make the playoffs, nobody expected the NBA Finals.
Despite Jimmy Butler leading the Miami Heat to upsets over both the conference-leading Milwaukee Bucks, and the Boston Celtics, the Heat were still slept on. Most expected the Lakers, led by LeBron James and Anthony Davis to sweep Miami. Tonight, LeBron and AD were both clutch, but Jimmy was more-clutch, hitting two free-throws, and forcing the Los Angeles Lakers to a Game 6, in the Finals.
