Joanne Connolly, a white woman, addressed the Cannon Hinnant murder, on Facebook. Not taking away from his cruel murder, in his own home, Connolly pointed out the murder of another small child, Zamar Jones, a week ago. Both children have GoFundMe accounts set up in their honor, with Jones' launching a week ago, compared two two days for Cannon's. However, Cannon has raised over $450,000, whereas Zamar's has raised just under $2,000, in over a week.

None of this information is being used to start an argument. Cannon Hinnant should still be alive and Zamar Jones should still be alive. The parents of young children should be reminded of how blessed they are and hug their children a little tighter, knowing they’re still here.

Also, parents should be more cautious of letting their children, of all ages, be outside. What happened to these children was inexcusable, and thankfully their killers were brought to justice. Politics need to be left out of this.

On Facebook, Joanne Connolly simply shared two links, which showed facts.The murder of Zamar Jones is lesser-known by the masses, even though his death was nearly identical to Cannon’s. Both children have GoFundMe’s in their honor and while Cannon’s is over $450,000, Zamar is barely over $1,900.
