Among other things, Kendrick Lamar claimed he was the King of New York and it led to a lot of commentary. A lot of responses were made to Kendrick Lamar, among the others who said things included Joe Budden.

Among the ones who have stepped up include Joe Budden. Despite being from Jersey City, Joe Budden has found himself involved in the King of New York title. On Twitter, he reached out to Styles P, who rejected his attempt at a conversation about the looming rap battle.

Joe Budden recently spoke on the situation, after releasing the cover for his own diss track. In his conversation, Joe Budden broke down what Kendrick Lamar actually said on the verse. During the conversation, Joe Budden said the New York rappers are weak and he is going to step up.
