Joel Embiid kicks Nic Claxton after Claxton stepped over him

Joel Embiid is not the franchise player the Philadelphia 76ers expected. However, he is the one that they got. Behind Embiid’s leadership, he led the Sixers to one of their most successful runs in franchise history. The team has had several consecutive 50-win seasons. Unfortunately, the playoffs are where things get complicated. However, the Sixers are up 2-0 against the Brooklyn Nets. Tonight, early in Game 3, Embiid and Nic Claxton got tangled up. As a result, Embiid kicked him.

Joel Embiid already is seeing a ton of backlash and attention for his actions. Much of this is due to the whole Draymond Green situation. The other night, Draymond commanded the attention of the world, when he and Domantas Sabonis got into it. When he stomped Sabonis, Draymond faced much backlash. After the suspension, many people looked back at what Sabonis did to provoke him. Now, there are debates about whether his suspension was fair.

Joel Embiid, however, does not have the kind of history that Draymond Green does. As a big man, however, Embiid is used to players nagging at him. This is especially true, seeing how Embiid is a scoring big man, who doubles as the franchise player. As a result, Embiid always has players that are targeting him. Tonight, Nic Claxton dunked on Joel and with him on the ground, tried to step over him. After that, Embiid gave him a decent kick.
