With all of the attention going to A$AP Rocky and French Montana, it made it easy for the young Joey Bada$$ to slide into position. The rise of Joey Bada$$ is a major step in the right direction for New York City’s hip hop scene. Joey Bada$$ has become the leader in Brooklyn, while A$AP Rocky and French Montana have Harlem and The Bronx.
Joey Bada$$ has found support in A$AP Rocky, who openly stated he wants to return the 1990s to hip hop. While A$AP Rocky has talked about doing this, Joey Bada$$ has simply been doing it and the world has taken notice. Along with his growing rap career, the young Bada$$ was snatched up by Ecko as a creative director.
This morning, Joey Bada$$ went across town to Power 105.1. Joey Bada$$ arrived to speak with “The Breakfast Club.” During the interview, Joey Bada$$ spoke on the golden era of New York hip hop, his feud with Lil B, and why he deleted his Twitter during the frenzy.
