Very troubling news coming from John Singleton, as reports are coming in that he has died. Nearly thirty years ago, Singleton put himself on the map, with the seminal film, Boyz N The Hood. Twenty-eight years later, that movie remains a classic.

That film launched Ice Cube’s acting career and led to him having a very successful career, as a producer. John Singleton, meanwhile, would go on to create Baby Boy, launching Tyrese’s acting career. This led to Singleton becoming a part of the Fast and Furious family.

John Singleton recently landed a TV deal, leading to “Snowfall,” starring Damson Idris. Currently, the show is on break, expecting to soon launch season three. Unfortunately, John Singleton will not be around for it, as news broke that he has died, following a week of being hospitalized, following his stroke, and also a coma.
