For a brief period, the Washington Wizards had a tough squad, led by an actual duo. Both John Wall and Bradley Beal were superstar caliber players. In the 2014-2015 season, they showed flashes of their potential.
John Wall and Bradley Beal put on a show, in 2017, leading the Wizards to 49 wins, and almost going to the Eastern Conference Finals. Both instances saw them a game short of their goals. Then, the injuries mounted, and then the split.
Now, John Wall plays for the Houston Rockets, where he was briefly paired with James Harden. With Harden gone, Wall is now the team’s leader. Tonight, the Rockets returned Wall to DC, to play the Wizards, where he and Bradley Beal shared this moment, doing their old handshake and hug, before their matchup began.
