John Wall reveals he was suicidal when he threw up gang signs
John Wall was once one of the NBA’s most promising players. It looked like he would be the player to finally make the Washington Wizards relevant. By 2015, the Wizards were close to the top of the East, starting the season 22-8. In 2017, they had a classic Game 7 loss to the Celtics. Unfortunately, they didn’t build on it. After that, it was down from there. By 2020, Wall made controversy for his video throwing up gang signs. Recently, he explained he was suicidal, when he did those things.
John Wall spent the first decade of his career with the Wizards. After that, he was traded to the Rockets, where he and James Harden couldn’t figure it out. Harden forced an exit to Brooklyn. Houston, meanwhile, deactivated John Wall. Briefly, Wall was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers. Ever since, he’s been out of the league. Although he’s not made the announcement, John Wall is all but retired from the league.
John Wall recently spoke with “The OGs,” which is Udonis Haslem and Mike Miller. The former duo for the Miami Heat have a popular podcast. Wall was their latest guest and he opened up on that 2020 period. That span of time was tough on most people, but John Wall contemplated ending his own life. At the time, he angered people for a video of him throwing up gang signs. Wall told Haslem and Miller that he held a gun to his head three times when all of that was going on.
