An r&b veteran is back with new music to start off the new year. Jon B steps into 2024 with a positive mind state and fresh sounds for music lovers. Releasing the video “Waiting for You” featuring Tank, he gives fans what they have been waiting for. Although the song hit streaming services last November, the video aired on YouTube earlier today. This collaboration is the first for the two since Jon B’s 2004 single “Stronger Everyday” which also features Tank.
As his first single since his 2020 “Priceless” remix release, Jon B reminds the world how unique his sound really is. Often referenced as a voice of 90’s r&b, in recent years his contributions were overlooked. Last year Jon B shared with fans surprising news in regards to his career. During his interview on the Joe Budden Podcast, he explained how he receives no royalties from his music. Known for billboard charting hits like “They Don’t Know” and “Are You Still Down” featuring 2Pac, fans were shocked to hear this news.
