It’s going down right now in Atlanta, BET is holding the annual Hip Hop Awards that take place out in the A. Many of hip hop’s biggest names are in Atlanta and Snoop Dogg is hosting the show this year. Jon Connor is a leader of the Michigan hip hop scene and first caused major attention over three years ago.
People began paying attention to Jon Connor when he made his EP comprised of freestyles over Eminem’s classics. Since then, Jon Connor has ranked consistently among the most underrated hip hop artists. Maybe Jon Connor will get his moment to shine with his new announcement.
Jon Connor did his cypher for the 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards and he announced he signed a new deal. Dr. Dre once said he wasn’t taking on anymore artists after Kendrick Lamar and Slim The Mobster. During the cypher, Jon Connor revealed he is Dr. Dre’s latest artist on Aftermath Entertainment.
