JR Smith wants $15 million to remain with Cavs, but they have no cap space, reportedly #NBAOffseason

The year of 2016 has been a good year for Cleveland sports, as the city won its first major sports championship since 1946. A lot has changed for the city in this span of time. Of all the changes, LeBron James is the biggest one, as he is Cleveland’s biggest sports star.

JR Smith is something of a NBA journeyman, but he found a home with the Cleveland Cavaliers. His only two seasons with the team saw him make the NBA Finals. Both trips saw him face off against the Warriors, stunning them in seven games, this summer.

Immediately after the 2015-16 NBA season ended, JR Smith was a free agent. Finally putting his shirt back on, Smith is reportedly back to business. He is asking for $15 million, according to NBA rumors, which also state the Cavs have no cap space, which could mean JR Smith searches elsewhere for the salary he is commanding.
