This last week, Yung Miami finally released a new episode of her “Caresha Please” podcast. There, she opened up to Saucy Santana about her and Yung Miami splitting up as the City Girls. Therfore, she explained how the chemistry wasn’t there anymore, the mindsets were different, and that JT began recording solo music first.

Meanwhile, JT is also speaking on the City Girls split. In a new interview with Complex, she explained how it “made so much sense,” for both her and Yung Miami.

“I’m like Tina Turner, I’m still a City Girl. I need my name. That’s the biggest thing about me, I can’t ever get away from being a City Girl,” she explained. “But I feel like it just made so much sense for both of us in the direction that we was going and things that we were focusing on.”

JT is also fresh off of releasing her debut solo mixtape, “City Cinderella,” in July. That contained 16 songs, including collaborations with Jeezy, CLIP, DJ Khaled, and Stunna Girl. The mixtape was led by the hit singles “Sideways” and “Okay.” Moreover, the legendary Jeezy went on to appear on the Okay remix.

JT’s City Cinderella Tour is also set to kick off, later this month. The opening date is set for August 20, in Kansas City, MO. The final date concludes on September 22, in Los Angeles. This will mark JT’s second tour of the year.
