Just Blaze talks “Higher,” Kendrick Lamar on “Control,” and more with “Sway in the Morning” [VIDEO]

A decade ago, Just Blaze became a household name in the rap industry. He was an in-house producer for Roc-A-Fella Records and his sound helped reinvent Jay-Z as the 2000s came in. When Jay-Z returned to the game in 2006, Just Blaze reintroduced him with more of his sounds.

In the time since Jay-Z has traded the rap game for the corner office, Just Blaze has continuously remained a force in the game. Just as others have changed their styles, so has Just Blaze. On the track with Baauer, “Higher,” Just Blaze took things in a completely different direction.

Just Blaze recently paid a visit to Sway Calloway for “Sway in the Morning” on Shade 45 and he had a lot to talk about. They discussed the “Higher” single, which is tearing the game up right now. In the interview, Just Blaze also spoke on Kendrick Lamar’s comments on “Control.”
