Just Blaze talks Jay-Z’s “Song Cry 2” and the next Slaughterhouse album with “Sway in the Morning” [VIDEO]

Just Blaze SwayBack in the 1990s, Jay-Z dropped plenty of classic material, but he did not come into his own until the 2000s. At the turn of the century, Jay-Z really showed his penchant for making hits. During this time, he introduced a number of new producers to the game, including Kanye West, Pharrell, and Just Blaze.

In 2003, Just Blaze had a breakout year and he ended up branching out on his own, making a name for himself outside of Jay-Z. Years ago, Jay-Z retired from the game and when he came back he did not work with Just Blaze as much. A lot of people were surprised he had no involvement with Magna Carta Holy Grail.

Just Blaze recently sat down with Shade 45 on “Sway in the Morning.” Sway Calloway had an intelligent hip hop discussion with Just Blaze about his upcoming work. He talked about “Song Cry 2” and how Jay-Z considered putting it on his new album, along with him being the executive producer of the next Slaughterhouse album.
