Justin Barnhill talks A.Y. Not Dead endorsement, NCredible Inc. projects, and New Rap Career

Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer

A little over a year ago, Justin Barnhill was featured in Hip Hop Vibe. He was the first person to appear in ‘On the Rise’ and not as a rap or R&B artist. However, his rise represents what is hip hop, as he moved from a small country town to now see his name in bright lights. More than the face of the name, Justin Barnhill established his own company, To The Max Ent., and has forged partnerships with many of the industry elite.

In the time since Hip Hop Vibe last spoke with Justin Barnhill, he has made an even bigger name for himself, from a global standpoint. With several business ventures in the works, Barnhill has landed an endorsement deal with A.Y. Not Dead, an up-and-coming clothing line and he is beginning to hit the studio, with his own mixtape. Late in 2011, he released a freestyle over Meek Mill’s breakout single, “I’m a Boss,” featuring Rick Ross.

Justin Barnhill had a strong movement in 2011 and he is building upon the momentum here in 2012, with several projects in the works. Hip Hop Vibe had the fortune of landing another exclusive interview with Justin Barnhill, as he has ‘risen’ and is preparing for a full industry takeover.

Read the entire interview below:

What records have you broken since we last spoke to you? I have done campaigns for Ralph Lauren D&S, Moncler, Mugler, A.Y Not Dead, Vogue Homme International, Vogue Espana, Vogue Homme Japan, HERO Mag, The Paper Mill, LOVE magazine, etc. You know, normal ToTheMax stuff.

When did you begin modeling for A.Y. Not Dead? I  did the Ay Not Dead campaign for 2012 with Dree Hemingway. Everyone knows Ms. Hemingway’s family very nice girl.

You have a few projects going on with NCredible Inc.? Yeah, I just recently signed to PKMG Management, Mack Hodges, with Nick Cannon’s NCredible crew. I am Hollywood bound this week. To The Max, my company, has a fashion line coming out in collabs with them now. The website is under construction so add To The Max Entertainment fan page on Facebook to keep up to date.

Last year, you released a freestyle over Meek Mill’s “I’m a Boss,” can fans expect more of this on your upcoming mixtape? I currently am recording for Mack and Nick a mixtape, we will be releasing this year. I just decided to give u a freestyle to let u know I’m a true artist and not a made up image. I’m me 100%.

What is the overall gameplan this year? Add To The Max Entertainment fan page and be on the lookout for the new clothing line worldwide! Shout out to PKMG, NCredible, ToTheMax Ent. and HHV! Thanks for the love, God bless.
