Juvenile names Current Favorite Rappers and Teams Up with Drake

The early days of Cash Money Records centered around new releases from Juvenile. When he left the label, many predicted the label would never rebound. Currently, Cash Money Records is celebrating the debut of Drake’s Take Care on the top of Billboard and the additions of Busta Rhymes and Mystikal, two veterans in the game.

While he is no longer a part of Cash Money Records, Juvenile does respect the movement. Recently, he spoke on a number of topics with Billboard. The former Hot Boy was asked who his current top five favorite rappers were. In response, Juvenile named Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, T.I., Kanye West, and Rick Ross, all of which he has working relationships with.

During his run with Cash Money, Juvenile’s most-notable song is arguably “Back That Azz Up,” as the song is still very popular, over a decade after it’s release. Juvenile said he created that song because it was something different. The last thing he expected was for someone to remake the album. Long after his Cash Money days, the label added new talent and this new talent decided to give the song new life.

Drake is currently one of the most-popular rappers in the game and is signed to Cash Money subsidiary, Young Money. On his current chart-topping album, Drake features a remake of Juvenile’s classic single. Following this remake, Juvenile has invited Drake to record on his upcoming album, Rejuvenation. Giving it the old Cash Money feel, Mannie Fresh is producing the track and Drake is already working on his part of the track.

Once Drake is done with his part of the song, Juvenile will record his part.
