The history Juvenile shares with Cash Money Records is unforgettable. Back when Cash Money Records was still very New Orleans-centric, Juvenile was the star of the label. Various issues caused several artists, including Juvenile, to leave Cash Money Records. Issues between Cash Money and most other artists were settled, but they stayed away from the label because of their own new business ventures.
While Juvenile left Cash Money Records and has enjoyed success away from the label, Cash Money Records has transformed from being a standard imprint to a super-label. Lil Wayne stepped into the role once played by Juvenile, also taking over the rap game. By 2010, Lil Wayne’s Young Money imprint had taken over the rap game.
During this time, Drake and Nicki Minaj were dominating radio and were the most-discussed topics on the internet. Meanwhile, Juvenile was preparing a new album for the future. Already, Juvenile has expressed interest in having Drake on his new album, Rejuvenation. Juvenile was recently asked by AllHipHop.com if he had Lil Wayne on his album and he revealed he has DJ Khaled helping him with that.
