K Camp speaks out about cancelling Prairie View A&M University performance, saying it was all about respect, and fans on Twitter give K Camp the co-sign

No, K Camp didn’t have a long run, but he did have a run. He made it to a place where 90% of aspiring rappers never will. His comeup was classic, as he consistently rose the ranks, especially during that 2012-2013 period.

By 2014, K Camp was a household name, and he was signed to a major label, Interscope Records. That summer, K Camp had one of the biggest songs of the summer. His music held its own, with massive hits from ScHoolboy Q, Tinashe, Young Thug, and Rich Homie Quan.

K Camp made the decision to leave the spotlight, focusing on getting his business right. Apparently, that was something the students of Prairie View A&M University didn’t appreciate. When K Camp was booked as the headlining artist, they expressed displeasure on Twitter, so K Camp backed out.

Taking to Twitter, K Camp said he didn’t need the money, so he wouldn’t tolerate the disrespect, and he also came with a freestyle, taking on the whole situation.
