Kai Cenat condemns fans’ behavior at his large NYC giveaway
Last week, Twitch streamer Kai Cenat held a massive giveaway event in the Union Square area of Manhattan, in New York City. His intention was to distribute gift cards, PlayStations and more.
The event was scheduled to begin at 4PM. However, chaos began to ensue around 3:30. This was as a result of the massive crowd throwing items, jumping on cars, others sustaining injuries, and just unfortunately acting a fool in general.
Therefore, Kai went on to be taken into police custody, as well as fellow streaming Fanum. Kai was charged with inciting a riot and unlawful assembly after holding chaotic NYC giveaway event.
Meanwhile, Kai is now condoning how his fans acted at that giveaway, in a recent live stream. Furthermore, he also said that what went down wasn’t what he intended to happen, at all as a result, Kai has a court date for this case on August 16, and will appear on less streams.
“I am beyond disappointed with anyone who became destructive that day. That s*** is not cool, I want people to know that. I don’t condone anything that went on that day. I’m seeing random videos of people getting sturdy on people’s cars and I’m asking myself, why? Why? None of that was my intention. I had good intentions for this whole thing. I don’t condone any of the things that went on that day.”
