Kai Jones has been on the Charlotte Hornets’ roster for the past couple of years. Some fans were calling for the Hornets to move him, before last season. However, when he began receiving playing time, Jones proved to be serviceable for the Hornets. Guys like Nick Richards and Kai Jones stepped up, as Charlotte dealt with injuries. When Mark Williams emerged, both took a back seat. Now, Kai Jones is doing his thing in Summer League. Currently, the internet is his, after his dunk on Victor Wembanyama.

Kai Jones played well for the Hornets, last season. However, the Hornets were not having a well season, last year. The Miles Bridges situation, compounded with LaMelo Ball’s injuries prevented the Hornets from following up on a promising 2022 season. As a result, many felt the Hornets stood a strong chance of landing Victor Wembanyama. Not only did the San Antonio Spurs have a far worse season, but they also won the number one draft pick for 2023.

Kai Jones is returning to the Charlotte Hornets, this season. In an effort to get himself in rhythm and to show himself, Jones is participating in Summer League. The whole world is confident Victor Wembanyama will become a superstar in the league. As a result, guys like Kai Jones are determined to get ahold of Wemby early.
