Kanye West doesn’t approve of wanting Kim Kardashian’s single status granted, before custody and property issues are resolved

Kanye West wants to delay Kim Kardashian being declared as single

Kanye West had previously been very vocal on Instagram, in regards to his estranged wife, Kim Kardashian. Ye didn’t approve of letting their daughter North, go on TikTok, and even accused Kim of putting a hit out on him.

Last February, Kim also officially filed for divorce from Kanye. That came after the divorce plans were initially announced, in the first few days of 2021. Kim and Kanye had been married since 2014, and together since 2012.

Kim has recently been trying to get the divorce process sped up, and for her to get her single status granted. According to TMZ though, Kanye doesn’t want that to happen right now. This is reportedly due to custody and property issues that still need to get resolved.

Kanye’s lawyer states that the concerns come from Kim possibly remarrying, and moving her assets with Kanye to separate accounts. Kanye is fine with the single status, as long as assets are part of marital property.

Kim is said to have rejected Kanye’s proposals of making sure any money that might be owing to either gets reimbursed, after one or then dies, Kanye wanting to block Kim from transferring assets out of any trust they created, and Kim waiving any marital privilege pending a final custody decision.

TMZ added that Kanye also wants to make sure if Kim remarries, she would waive any spousal privilege between her and the new husband. A hearing will take place next month, where it seems that Kim will almost certainly have her single status finalized. Currently, she’s still dating Pete Davidson.
