Kanye West is Recreating His Childhood Home, Inside Chicago’s Soldier Field, For Upcoming “Donda” Listening Event

On August 26, Kanye West will be having his third “Donda” album listening event. This time, it will be in his hometown of Chicago. The venue will be Soldier Field, home of the NFL’s Chicago Bears. Kanye also ended up posting an image of his childhood home, to his Instagram feed, in anticipation for the event.

The stage has been getting set up inside Soldier Field, and there is one unique aspect to it. On the stage, Kanye has it to where his childhood home is being recreated. The architecture and color design is exactly of the home posted to his IG feed. This home is located on the south side of Chicago.

Kanye ended up actually buying this home last year, for $225,000. He lived here with his mother, “Donda,” who passed away back in 2007. The last listening event for this album took place on August 5, in Atlanta. The first two were in Atlanta overall, as the Donda album has yet to be released. Many hope that this will finally happen on midnight, on August 27.
