Kanye’s third “Donda” album listening event, just wrapped up, in his hometown of Chicago. This went down, inside Soldier Field, as it was a packed event, full of people waiting for Kanye’s 10th studio album, to finally drop.
This listening even definitely came with some surprises. Kid Cudi, Jay Z, The Lox, and Conway were some of the artists not on the songs, as they were heard on this album, during the listening event in Atlanta, earlier this month. DaBaby also appeared on Donda, with many people believing that he replaced Jay Z on a song.
The ending of the Donda listening event was also very surprising. Ye was in front of the Donda replica house, as he was soon set on fire. Fans wondered if this was real or not, but a lot assumed that this was just an obvious special effect.
Kanye also brought out his estranged wife, Kim Kardashian, on stage. She was seen in a white wedding dress, as one of the songs were played. She stood in front of Kanye, as this led many to wonder if the two aren’t actually moving forward with their divorce. The divorce was initially announced in early January, with Kim ending up filing paperwork, in mid-February.
The Donda album didn’t end up actually being released, as expected by many fans. A lot wonder if this project will ever be out, and if Kanye will just do these listening events for the fun of it. For his two listening events in Atlanta, he reportedly each made between $1.7-2.5 million.
