Kanye West has still been trying to run for president despite missing deadlines in many states to get on ballots such as Florida and South Carolina. He’s recently been trying to get on his home state of Illinois as he accumulated 3,128 signatures. The validity of these have since been investigated, though.

According to TMZ, West is not on the Illinois ballot anymore as 1,900 of his signatures were ruled invalid. These were originally reviewed by the State Board of Elections. With the loss of 1,900, this leaves him behind the 2,500 needed to get on the Illinois ballot.

TMZ added that different may have played a role in this rejection such as invalid names, invalid addresses, unregistered voters in Illinois, and/or illegible signatures. On August 21, he will officially be removed. This comes a day after Ye seemingly denied getting Republicans to help him sway votes from Joe Biden for Donald Trump after he said on Twitter that the goal is to win the presidency in November. Hopefully, he officially withdraws soon.
