New York City is at the center of most of hip hop’s controversies. Rappers from other cities have enjoyed coming in and giving their opinions on their hip hop scene. It is a little odd that Kanye West’s name has not been associated with any of this, especially with his ego.
But, Kanye West has gone through a transition throughout most of 2012-2013, as he is now in boyfriend and father mode. Aside from Yeezus, Kanye West has not had much attention to give to the ongoings of hip hop. His Yeezus tour has highlighted the changes Kanye West went through over the past year or so.
Album sales struggled, tour sales have struggled and the fans who have gone are questioning whether they paid to hear music or rants. Kanye West has run laps in his concerts and laid asleep on stage. But, at Madison Square Garden in New York, he ranted on Nike, Adidas, future goals, and much more.
