Kanye West Reportedly Wants To Change His Full Name To Just “Ye”

Kanye West is getting ready for his “Donda” album listening event in Chicago, which will take place on August 26. The venue is Soldier Field, home of the NFL’s Chicago Bears. The previous two listening events were held in Atlanta, as the album didn’t end up releasing.

As Kanye prepares for his Donda album, he is making changes to his legal name as well. According to TMZ, he he filed paperwork in LA, requesting that his legal name be changed to simply “Ye,” which is his nickname for his first name.

At this point, it looks like a judge will approve of this. In California, a name change can be done with no problem, as long as it’s not done in order to commit fraud or other crimes.
