Kanye West says “Donda 2” album will only be available on Stem Player
Kanye West has been making plenty of headlines over the past two weeks. This includes posting text message conversations with his estranged wife, Kim Kardashian, as well as dissing her boyfriend, Pete Davison. Ye’s upcoming 11th studio album, “Donda 2,” is also set for a February 22 release.
Kanye has just dropped some big news, as took to Instagram to announce that Donda 2 won’t be on streaming platforms, such as Apple Music and Spotify. Instead, it’ll be on his Stem Player streaming platform. Ye explained how on the common streaming platforms, artists don’t earn enough of a big percentage. Ye also played a record, off of Donda 2.
“Donda 2 will only be available on my own platform, the Stem Player. Not on Apple Amazon Spotify or YouTube. Today artists get just 12% of the money the industry makes. It’s time to free music from this oppressive system. It’s time to take control and build our own. Go to stemplayer.com now to order.”
Donda 2 is led by the hit singles, “Eazy“, ft The Game, and “City Of Gods,” ft. Fivio Foreign and Alicia Keys. The first Donda album was released last fall, and became Kanye’s 10th straight number one album. For Donda 2, an album listening event is also scheduled for February 22, at LoanDepot Park, in Miami. Tickets are still available for fans to purchase.
