Kanye West Says Saturday Night Live “Uses” Black People Like Issa Rae To Hold Other Black People Back

By Yuriy Andriyashchuk Staff Writer

Last night on ‘Saturday Night Live,’ Issa Rae was a guest on the show and did very well in her skits. She has become one of the best actresses out with the success of her hit series, ‘Insecure,’ on HBO. Now, Kanye West has is speaking out and says that SNL is “using” black people to “hold other black people back.”

“I’ve always said SNL uses black people to hold other black people back,” said West on Twitter. “My heart goes out to Issa Rae I’m praying for her and her family I know that the twenty years of service that I’ve paid in the entertainment field has furthered our ability to be more successful.”

The irony of these comments is that West led Republicans use him. West vouching for Donald Trump and MAGA has done nothing to help himself. Ye is also still running for president right now despite the fact he has no chance to win the presidency. In fact, he is appearing on some states’ ballots as a vice presidential candidate instead next to Roque “Rocky” De La Fuente, who is listed as his presidential running mate. He is still encouraging people to write his name in as president though, which is something that people should not do at all.
West’s odd SNL criticism also seems odd considering the fact that he performed on the show in 2018. Here, he sadly sported the Trump MAGA hat. This was the same year that he said “slavery was a choice” and also visited Trump at the White House. Ye also had 2013 performances on SNL after releasing his ‘Yeezus‘ album.
