Brooklyn goes hard, Jay-Z managed to bring the Nets to his home borough and the arena, Barclays Center, has become a new mecca for hip hop. All the biggest names in hip hop have come to the arena to perform. Perhaps the biggest accomplishment of all was bringing the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards to Barclays.
Kanye West was expected to have a dominant summer with the release of Yeezus, which dropped back in June. He did not drop any singles off the album, but “Black Skinhead” has done well with the single, as the video dropped last week. “Black Skinhead” is quickly becoming a big single.
Recently, MTV made an announcement in regards to their list of performers. In the past, there has been a lot of friction with Kanye West and MTV at the Video Music Awards. But, this year, all is well and Kanye West has been tapped to perform “Black Skinhead” at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards.
