Spanning their career over the past sixteen years, Daft Punk has witnessed quite a few changes. One of the more welcome changes have been the collaborations across genres that has become popular in recent years. Dating back to the Run-DMC collaboration with Aerosmith, “Walk this Way,” hip hop has crossed genres.

Almost a decade ago, Kanye West broke through and became a full-time rapper. Initially known for production, Kanye West was responsible for quite a few Jay-Z songs from the early 2000s. When he launched his solo rap career, Kanye West fused genres on his own music.

Now, Daft Punk has turned to Kanye West for their upcoming album, Random Access Memories. In 2007, Kanye West sampled Daft Punk for his chart-topping Grammy award winning single, “Stronger.” Daft Punk recently talked to Rolling Stone about their upcoming album and their work with Kanye West.
