Kanye West has had a very tough and controversial year, in 2022. When the year began, Kanye was boasting about how wealthy he was. At the time, Ye was overseeing Yeezy’s billion dollar partnerships with Adidas, Gap, and Balenciaga. However, when he went on “Drink Champs,” and made controversial comments. Those comments led to the end of Yeezy’s partnerships. As a result, Kanye West is now having trouble keeping up his office expenses.
Kanye West was celebrating being the wealthiest rapper in the game. While official reports pegged Kanye at $1.8 billion to $2 billion, Ye was saying his net worth was between $7 billion and $10 billion. It was no debate, once the partnerships ended, that his net worth dropped. Adidas terminating their partnership, alone, cost Kanye West his billionaire status. When it was all said and done, Kanye’s net worth dropped to $500 million.
Kanye West is currently searching for new partnerships for Yeezy. Briefly, he reintroduced the t-shirt line, but it was highly controversial. Because Kanye is still doing business, he has maintained his office space, in Los Angeles. However, with so much going on, Ye has gotten behind on his expenses. As a result, he has fallen $63,000 behind with his office space rent. In addition to everything else Kanye West is up against, there is now the potential eviction.
