Kanye West’s “Donda” Album Reaches Gold Eligibility

Kanye West’s 10th studio album, “Donda,” still continues to go strong, over two weeks after it’s released. It currently stands at number two, on the Billboard 200 chart, with over 140,000 units sold, in its second week.

Donda has now reached a new milestone, in regards to sales. According to Chart Data, it’s now sold over 500,000 units. This now makes the album eligible to be certified gold, by the RIAA. Donda also initially debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, marking his 10th straight number one.

Donda contained 27 tracks in total, with appearances from The Weeknd, Lil Baby, Jay Z, Fivio Foreign, The Lox, Playboi Carti, DaBaby, and more. The album was delayed three times since late July, despite having three listening events for it. Two were held in Atlanta, and the last one was held in Kanye’s hometown of Chicago. The album’s title is in tribute to Ye’s late mother who passed away, in 2007.
