Kanye West’s Final “Donda” Album Listening Event, in Chicago, Broke Previous Apple Music Livestream Record, Which Was Held By His Previous Listening Event, With 5.9 Million Viewers

Kanye West’s 10th studio album, “Donda,” was finally released on streaming outlets yesterday. This was after being delayed three times, over the past month. Kanye had three listening events for this project, two in Atlanta, and the final one behind in his hometown of Chicago, last week.

Kanye broke two Apple Music livestream records with his first two Donda events. The second one accumulated 5.4 million viewers. Now, his final one, has topped the previous one as well.

According to Chart Data, the final Donda event received 5.9 million viewers, for the Apple Music livestream. The anticipation for this album was definitely real, as it was initially supposed to be out, way back in July 2020.

Donda has 27 songs in total, with “Jail Part 2” feat. DaBaby finally being released late Sunday night. Other appearances include Lil Baby, The Weeknd, Jay Z, The Lox, Lil Durk, Travis Scott, and more. It’s also on its way to being Kanye’s ninth consecutive. number one album, this week, with over 300,000 units in its debut.
