Kawhi and LeBron? Twitter reacts to reports that LeBron James will consider joining the Lakers, if they land Kawhi Leonard, but most think it still won’t be enough to beat the Warriors

For a little while, it seemed like the San Antonio Spurs never failed. It didn’t matter how bad their seasons were, they’d always win 50 games and they’d always make the playoffs. Every now and again, they’d win a championship, too.

In fact, LeBron James was the only man capable of humanizing the Spurs, when his Miami Heat beat them in the 2013 Finals. Other than that, the Spurs owned the NBA, as did the Lakers. The Spurs thought they had a formula, grooming Kawhi Leonard to be their future.

But, last season happened, where Kawhi essentially refused to play, and it solidified that the Golden State Warriors are the model franchise, with five straight 50+ win seasons, and three titles in four years. After five years of irrelevance, the Lakers want back in, and Magic Johnson is talking big. Now, there are reports that LeBron James says he’ll join the Lakers, if they get Kawhi Leonard, and Twitter is pondering over it.
