Kehlani Announces May 8 Release Date For Second Album, ‘It Was Good Until It Wasn’t’

Last year, Kehlani released her nine-track ‘While We Wait’ mixtape as it featured the singles “Nights Like This” featuring Ty Dolla $ign, “Butterfly,” “Nunya” feat. Dom Kennedy, and “RPG” feat. 6LACK. She also made headlines for herself as she had her first child and was dating YG but that was a rocky relationship. The 4Hunnid rapper was seen kissing another woman outside a Los Angeles nightclub. A rep for him claimed that he was too drunk. YG put out the record “Konclusions” with Kehlani on Valentine’s Day but then she put out the record “Valentine’s Day (Shameful)” to signal that they broke up.

Since the fall, Kehlani has dropped tracks such as “You Know Wassup” and “All Me” feat. Keyshia Cole. Now, she is preparing to release her sophomore album as she took to Twitter on Friday that it will be titled ‘It Was Good Until It Wasn’t.’ It is set for a May 8 release date.

The cover art features Kehlani in her backyard looking at the other side of the fence. This will also be Kehlani’s first album since her debut ‘SweetSexySavage‘ in 2017. Check out the announcement for It Was Good Until It Wasn’t below.
