This morning, Drake dropped the second official single off Nothing Was the Same. “All Me” is the new song and it features Drake alongside his boys, 2 Chainz and Big Sean. A different sound from Drake, this song has all the makings of a hit single. Drake does his usual boasting on the record.
In a lot of ways, Drake pays homage to the past with his mentions of Keith Sweat. Even with his original run occurring two decades ago, Keith Sweat remains a heavily-mentioned rapper. His last mention came last year, when A$AP Rocky put his name on the record, “Fuckin’ Problem.”
Complex Magazine reached out to Keith Sweat and asked him his opinion about being shouted out by Drake. Humbled by still being mentioned years after his reign, Keith Sweat simply said he was flattered that Drake shouted him out. Keith Sweat also said that Drake may have helped increase his relevance.
