Many celebrities are using their platforms to address the murder of George Floyd by former Minneapolis PD Officer, Derek Chauvin and three other officers. Some are in the field with the protestors as among them are J. Cole, Nick Cannon, and Keanu Reaves.
Keke Palmer was also seen with protestors today as they were speaking with the National Guard. She was telling them how divisive Donald Trump has been trying to be and inciting violence with comments such as “When the looting starts, the shooting starts.” Palmer also asked the National Guard to march with them.
One of the National Guard members explained how he could only march for a certain distance Because they had to protect that particular area. They ended up agreeing to take a knee with Palmer and the protestors. It was definitely an amazing sight to see in the middle of a lot of the chaos we’ve been seen lately. Hopefully, all Minneapolis officers get arrested and charged soon and George Floyd can finally get justice.
