Kelly Rowland will play Terrence Howard’s mother in “Empire” season two #EmpireFOX

Kellyrowlandphotoshoot1Hip hop is the fastest-growing trend and culture and it has been for at least twenty years. Now, it is finally being harnessed the right way to be properly shared with the mainstream. Thank Lee Daniels for finally doing the hip hop soap opera in “Empire” and he went all out.

Casting black film icons, Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson in the lead roles, he strongly rounded out the cast. The major guest appearances and major stars in other roles isn’t what the show is all about. An interesting storyline kept people hooked and sent the show to the top.

Television’s number one show returns in September and “Empire” already has Chris Rock and Alicia Keys for season two. Add Kelly Rowland to this growing list, as she was already announced to be a part of the cast. During the BET Awards, Terrence Howard told “Entertainment Tonight” that his character’s background would be explored and Kelly Rowland will help do this, as she was cast to play his mother in flashbacks.
