Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell reveal that “Good Burger 2” is coming to Paramount+ this year [VIDEO]

Kenan Thompson & Kel Mitchell announce “Good Burger” sequel

For many fans of Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell, “Good Burger” is one of their favorite films by them, of all-time. The 1997 film saw Thompson play the role of Dexter Reed, while Mitchell was Ed, as the two worked at the popular fictional fast food restaurant and going on other crazy adventures. Good Burger went on to earn $7.1 million, in its opening weekend. Thompson and Mitchell had acting chemistry prior to Good Burger, as their “Kenan & Kel” show aired in 1996, and ran through 2000.

However, a Good Burger sequel has now been confirmed by Thompson and Mitchell. The two appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Friday night, where they confirmed this latest development, “Good Burger 2.”

Therefore, Mitchell and Thompson went on to reveal that the Good Burger sequel will start production in two months, and will be out later in 2023. Therefore, instead of hitting theaters, this film will be coming to Paramount+.

“I can’t believe it’s been a little over 25 years since great customer service was born at Good Burger!” Thompson added in a statement. “Being a part of something so many generations of people have come to love has made me so proud and now to be back where it all began working on the sequel is surreal! Love performing with my brother Kel and can’t wait to show the fans what these characters have been up to since we last saw them.”
