Kendrick Lamar Announces That His Next Album, Will Be His Last Project, on TDE

Kendrick Lamar fans have anxiously been waiting for a new album from him, as it’s been over four years since “DAMN” was released. That project topped the Billboard 200 chart, and even won a Pulitzer Prize.

Now, the Compton rapper is finally giving fans an update, from his Oklama.com. website. Here, Lamar explained how he goes months without a phone at times, and how this upcoming album that he’s been working on, will be his last one at TDE.

Lamar had been signed to TDE for over 17 years, and still wishes them nothing but the best. He added that they’ve been a “cultural imprint,” and he hopes that “the most high” continues to use them to help “candid creators.” In the meantime, Lamar will also continue to pursue his life’s calling.

This is definitely the end of a great era with Kendrick Lamar at TDE. This record label has established themselves as one of the best in the industry in general, as they have other stars as well, such as SZA, Isaiah Rashad, ScHoolboy Q, and Ab-Soul. Hopefully, Lamar’s album finally arrives before 2022.
