Kendrick Lamar holds “The Pop Out: Ken & Friends” concert
On Wednesday night, Kendrick Lamar held his highly anticipated “The Pop Out: Ken & Friends” concert in his hometown of Los Angeles. This was held inside the Kia Forum, in the Inglewood area of LA, as over 20,000 fans packed out this show.
Prior to Kendrick Lamar hitting the stage, he brought out various buzzing LA artists to perform. These included BlueBucksClan, YG, Roddy Ricch, Dr. Dre, Ab-Soul, ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock, and much more. In addition to these fellow LA natives, Steve Lacy and Tyler, The Creator also made surprise appearances.
Heading into Kendrick’s performance, it was nothing short of electric. He performed hits from classic albums such as “Good Kid, Maad City,” “DAMN” and “To Pimp A Butterfly.” Moreover, Kendrick also rocked the stage with his new Drake diss tracks, such as “Euphoria,” “6:16 In LA” and the Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping “Not Like Us.” Dr. Dre even helped Kendrick introduce the Not Like Us performance.
Kendrick Lamar ultimately ended up performing Not Like Us five times in a row to close out the concert, which left fans in attendance and those watching on Amazon Prime Video, stunned and excited.
