Kendrick Lamar honored on the California State Senate floor as 35th Senate District’s Generational Icon [VIDEO]
In the late 2000s and early 2010s, Kendrick Lamar began building his buzz. Recording with Top Dawg Entertainment, Kendrick Lamar’s mixtapes began reaching a bigger audience. Soon, Kendrick Lamar was co-signed by Game.
The Compton legend would feature Kendrick Lamar onĀ The R.E.D. Album and it led to him being introduced to Dr. Dre. Upon meeting Dr. Dre and signing with him, Kendrick Lamar became hip hop’s biggest star. A few weeks ago, Kendrick Lamar released his second album with Dr. Dre.
Kendrick Lamar recently traveled to Sacramento and he was honored on the State Senate floor. Senator Isadore Hall III presented Kendrick Lamar with his title as 35th Senate District’s Generational Leader. Hall is a fellow Compton native and he has recounted all of the things Kendrick Lamar has done for the area over the years.
