A lot of rappers do not realize how much of an impact they have on the children who look up to them. Over the past year, everyone has used Molly in their lyrics, including many of the “New West” artists. But, those who have paid close attention have noticed how this has not come up on music from Kendrick Lamar.

Only a few years ago, an artist like Kendrick Lamar would have had a difficult journey rising to stardom the way he did. But, hip hop has returned to its “anything goes” policy and the door widely opened for Kendrick Lamar. Now, there is no turning back, as he is one of the biggest rappers in the game.

Recently, the “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe” music video premiered and Kendrick Lamar had a message at the end of it. Not mentioned within the context of the song, but seen on screen, it reads “death of Molly.” This is ironic since there are “Molly rappers” in the music video, but Kendrick Lamar told Sway from MTV he had to end the corniness.
