It appears as if Kendrick Lamar is finally fading into the background. He has been in the spotlight non-stop since the summer of 2011. During this time, the entire rap game has had the chance to see Kendrick Lamar’s talent up close and personal. Stealing the show on Game’s “The City” landed Kendrick Lamar on the doorstep of Dr. Dre.

Kendrick Lamar has become the new focus of Aftermath/Interscope and he took the game over with good kid, m.A.A.d. city. Releasing hits on top of hits, Kendrick Lamar first delivered “Swimming Pools (Drank),” “Poetic Justice,” with Drake, and “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe,” and the remix with Jay-Z.

At Bonnaroo 2013, Kendrick Lamar talked with Fuse about some of his upcoming work. As he stated, fans will be waiting a while before Kendrick Lamar releases his sophomore album. But, Kendrick Lamar will be working with Black Hippy on new music, he discussed this and work with Dr. Dre and Pharrell.
