Kendrick Lamar talks fan support and Black Hippy with Power 106 [VIDEO]

A reason art is so beloved is because of everyone’s individual take on the material and how they express it. Love for music is why most artists are in the game and is the reason why Los Angeles rappers started, anyway. Each artist spoke on their lives and their interests, especially Eazy-E and NWA.
Many artists inspired by the gangsta rap went on to make gangsta rap records, such as second-generation Comptonite, Game. Kendrick Lamar also is inspired by this era and the era which Game came out of. But, his interpretation of the artform has been much different and it has led to an overall revolution of Los Angeles hip hop.
Among the platforms where Kendrick Lamar initially rose to fame was the Paid Dues festival, which takes place every year. In addition to his solo career, Kendrick Lamar has risen to become the frontman of Black Hippy. At the 2013 Paid Dues Festival, Power 106 talked to Kendrick Lamar about the group and the fans.
