Years of releasing underground material turned into a major year for Kendrick Lamar, last year, leading to him becoming one of the biggest bubbling under artists in the game. While still up-and-coming, K. Dot was called on by Game for a verse on The R.E.D. Album, which turned into a chorus and an acapella verse. In a short period of time, Kendrick Lamar landed with Aftermath Entertainment.

An official member of Dr. Dre’s team, Kendrick Lamar was an insider for Dr. Dre’s Coachella 2012 set, performing alongside Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, and Kurupt. Leading up to Coachella 2012, there was a lot of anticipation surrounding Dr. Dre’s set. There were rumors of Nate Dogg being revived, via hologram, to perform.

There were Nate Dogg rumors, but Tupac Shakur returned to life to steal the show. Instead of speaking on his performance, Kendrick Lamar has been discussing Tupac’s show. Fuse recently caught up with Kendrick Lamar and he again spoke on Tupac’s performance and his role in reviving the Compton hip hop scene, and his work with Meek Mill.
