Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” is fastest song in 2024 to go gold

Over the past week, Kendrick Lamar has been dominating with his latest Drake diss record, “Not Like Us.” Among the milestones it has already reached have included having the biggest streaming day for a hip-hop song in global Spotify history, as well as being on its way to a number one debut on the Billboard Hot 100, in the coming days.

Meanwhile, Kendrick’s Not Like Us has now reached another solid milestone. It has now reached gold eligibility in the US, after selling over 500,000 units. Moreover, this single is also the fastest song released in 2020 to go gold. Kendrick was impressively able to do this in less than five days, according to Chart Data.

Furthermore, Drake went on to respond to Kendrick’s Not Like US, a day later. That was with “The Heart Part 6,” which was a renamed version of Kendrick’s The Heart Part 5. However, many fans still believe that Kendrick had the upper hand in the feud, and that Drake appeared to sound defeated on The Heart Part 6.
