Kenya Moore’s ex made to pay $2K monthly child support in divorce
Kenya Moore and her ex-husband Marc Daly, the court has finalized their settlement agreement. It includes financial and custody arrangements for their 5-year-old daughter, Brooklyn.
According to documents obtained by In Touch, the court awarded primary custody of Brooklyn to Kenya Moore, 53, with the duo sharing joint legal custody. This arrangement allows Marc to have a say in major decisions concerning their daughter’s life. The judge emphasized that both parties must encourage Brooklyn to maintain a positive relationship with the other parent and avoid any conduct that could undermine it.
Marc Daly has been ordered to pay Kenya $2,000 per month in child support, despite her being the higher earner. Additionally, he will contribute $1,000 monthly to a college savings account for Brooklyn. This retroactive payment should total $12,000 for the year, starting from January 2024.
As per the settlement, there will be no alimony or spousal support exchanged between the two. The judge granted Kenya final decision-making authority regarding Brooklyn’s involvement in economic opportunities, including her appearance on the Bravo show “Real Housewives of Atlanta” (RHOA). After 24 months, if the parties cannot agree on economic opportunities, they will attend mediation or court for further determination.
The agreement also states that each party will retain rights and responsibilities for their respective properties and debts, including real estate and vehicles. Kenya will maintain healthcare insurance for Brooklyn, and the couple will split any uninsured medical expenses.
